Day 1: Arrival in Havana

Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your English-speaking guide and escorted via private transfer to your hotel in Havana.  Settle into your accommodations, freshen up and explore the surroundings of your hotel, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Havana. In the evening, you’ll be be picked up for dinner at the renowned private restaurant, Paladar “La Guarida”. This iconic establishment not only offers delectable Cuban cuisine but also holds historical significance as the setting for the film “Strawberry & Chocolate”, which openly addresses queer themes. Day 2: Colonial Havana and the Nostalgia of the 1950s

Embark on a morning walking tour through Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Led by an expert guide, stroll along the colonial Prado boulevard, immersing yourself in the rich history and architecture of the city. Explore iconic landmarks such as Plaza de Armas, Cathedral Square, and El Templete, gaining insights into Havana’s fascinating past. Tonight, dinner at the charming private paladar “La Esperanza” in Miramar. This hidden gem offers a nostalgic 1950s living room atmosphere, complete with beautiful antiques and authentic Cuban delicacies. As you indulge in the flavors of Cuba, you’ll be transported back in time to a bygone era of elegance and charm. Day 3: Cigars, Arts & Dance

Experience the artistry of Cuban cigar-making with a visit to a renowned cigar factory, where guests will witness skilled “torcedores” crafting the finest cigars in the world. Following this immersive experience, you’ll will embark on a journey through Havana’s vibrant arts scene, starting with a training session of “Havana Queens”, one of the leading contemporary dance companies in town. Sitting on the stage, guests will have the opportunity to interact with the dancers and learn about their daily lives and the fascinating history of the project. In the late morning, visit the Fuster social art project, where local artist José Fuster has transformed an entire neighborhood with his colorful ceramic artwork. Enjoy lunch at “Café Fortuna” or Paladar “Vistamar” before exploring the studio of a young Cuban artist in Vedado, who will introduce guests to the thriving Cuban arts scene during a refreshing “Mojito” cocktail. Conclude the day with cocktails at Hotel Nacional’s “Bar de la Fama” and a visit to the renowned “Fabrica de Arte”, a cultural hub showcasing contemporary Cuban art, music, and performances. Day 4: The Beach (or Full-Day Excursion to Tobacco Land)

Today, you’ll have time to relax and unwind at the beaches of Habana del Este, including the LGBTQ+ friendly “Playa Mi Cayito”, known for its welcoming atmosphere and stunning natural beauty. Alternatively, on days when the weather does not cooperate, you will have the option for a full-day excursion to Tobacco Land to explore Cuba’s rich tobacco heritage, including visits to local tobacco farms and factories. After a morning of exploration, you will enjoy lunch at local eateries like “Il Piccolo” or “Café Ajiaco”, savoring fresh Cuban seafood and cocktails. In the late afternoon, return to Havana, where you’ll indulge in a sundowner at the panoramic bar of boutique hotel Malecon 663, offering breathtaking views of the Malecon and the ocean. Dinner options include gay-friendly Paladar “Le Chansonier” or “Porto Havana” in Vedado, providing guests with a delightful culinary experience accompanied by stunning views of the sea. (B/L/D)

Day 5: Havana – Departure
