Take this day to rest, acclimate, and begin your South African adventure. You might want to start by exploring Urban Jozi with a shopping spree or enjoying a delightful family meal.

Day 2 – Discovering the Heart of Soweto

Following a hearty breakfast, your guide will take you on a captivating journey to Soweto, the hometown of iconic figures like Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, known for their contributions to South Africa’s inclusive LGBTQ+ constitution. Embark on a memorable Soweto adventure on two wheels (or choose a tuk-tuk if cycling isn’t your preference). This heartwarming experience is suitable for adventurers of all ages. Your journey includes a visit to the renowned Vilakazi Street, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy a soulful township lunch.

Day 3 – Soaring into Safari Dreams

Prepare for the next phase of your African adventure with a short flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit in the Northern Kruger National Park. Upon arrival at Kapama River Lodge, where luxury meets the vast African sky, you’ll find spacious comfort and a vibrant atmosphere perfect for families, couples, and friends. Get ready to dive into the magic of the Kruger National Park. Kids, get excited for a whirlwind of educational and fun adventures!

Day 4 – Safari Adventures Begin

Your safari adventure is in full swing with thrilling game drives, bush feasts, and exclusive South African libations.

Day 5 – Immersed in the African Bush

Spend one more day surrounded by the African bush, offering additional opportunities to encounter the Big 5 and deepen your wildlife knowledge.

Day 6 – Hello, Cape Town!

After your final bush breakfast, the River Lodge team will accompany you to the airport for a direct flight to Cape Town, known as the Mother City. Check into your Cape Town hotel and treat the kids to a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the scenic promenade. The vibrant V&A Waterfront awaits, offering shopping, dining, and even a sunset Pirate Ship Cruise.

Day 7 – Side-Car Adventure

This morning brings a thrilling combination of adventure and sightseeing as you cruise the Atlantic Seaboard in a side-car, complete with unique biker jackets and antique goggles for added fun.

Day 8 – Exploring the Cape of Good Hope

An exciting day awaits, especially for the kids, with a day trip to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Experience the breathtaking Chapman’s Peak Drive, meet the penguins, and don’t forget to pack your swimsuit for a dip with these adorable creatures.
